Olympus has announced a slightly lighter, significantly less expensive digital PEN, the E-PL1.

With an estimated retail price of $599.99, which I assume is for the 14-42mm lens kit, this should be a good seller!

Now please, please, please Olympus - a WR body and lens! We don't need any more crushproof compacts with awful image quality.

Hope it will live up to all the hype surrounding it.
What features have Olympus omitted from it compared to both the EP-1 & EP-2 ?
Is it astripped-down lo (-er ) cost alternative to encourage 'point-and-shoot' types to change up into the micro 4/3rds system or will it prove to be as godd as its costlier siblings, and a direct challenger to the Panasonic GF-1 ?????
I hope to buy a micro 4/3rds camer soon, but i'm confused by the camera choices available now , trying to compare like-for-like is not easy to do and price is an important factor.
Any feedback would be great.
Thanks.
