More Compact Micro 4/3 Panasonic Cameras to Come?

Some of us have been disappointed in relatively SLR-like form of the initial Micro 4/3 offerings from Panasonic. Amateur Photographer has shared an interesting conversation with Ichiro Kitao, general manager at Panasonic's Products Planning Group, regarding the possibility of Panasonic introducing more compact Micro 4/3 models. There's no new, specific information, but I found it an interesting read nevertheless.

The most important is a body with a fix pancake lens enough for carry in in your pocket. Panasonic can use the package of Canon G10 or Canon A720is.
Panasonic should think about a new tecnology of lens, using tambor as compact cameras.
Panasonic should think a new LX3 but using a 4/3 sensor.
Between the Sigma DP1/2, the prototype Olympus compact and the especially the Samsung NX, all show there is no reason why we cannot have large sensor compacts in a pocketable size. Amazing when you consider Ricoh were saying a large sensor compact wasn't technically feasible when they introduced the GR!
