Via 1001 Noisy Cameras comes the news that DC Resource has added spring galleries for five new serious compacts, namely the Olympus E-420, Nikon D60, Ricoh R8, Panasonic FX35, and Olympus Stylus 1030SW. Each of these cameras brings something unique to the realm of compact camera photography. It's good to see that they are all in the queue for review by DC Resource.

The 420 samples look terrific. Much better than the Nikon D60. Only negative for the 420, might be a slight tendency to clip the highlights a fraction more easily...but that can be fixed with a tiny bit of exposure compensation
