Seattle wedding and portrait photographer Laurence Kim is continuing to publish his ongoing evaluation of the Panasonic LX3. Part 2 focuses on high ISO performance as well as the dynamic black & white setting. Part 3, now online, deals with nature and macro.

This is an instructive real-world review of the LX3, by a photographer who can use the camera in a creative way. Shows what the LX3 can do, and also discusses things it is not suited for. I agree that the LX3 suit well landscape photography.

But it is not a DSLR replacement - no compact is. On the other hand, a DSLR is not a replacement for the LX3 either.

i heard a rumor that laurence was actually a "she".
regardless of the gender the photos taken by her/him are stunning!

Hi Oluv, I think he's a he. For example, one person worked with Laurence and referred to him as follows: "I worked as a second shooter last weekend with Seattle based photographer Laurence Kim. Not only is he a great photographer, but a super nice guy. I aspire to be just like him when I grow up one day!" (http://photosbywinnie.com/blog/?p=51) I do agree with you about the stunning photos part!
